Did you know that every baby will need around 5,000 nappy changes before they’re toilet-trained? If you’re currently using disposable nappies, you might be surprised to learn that there’s a more sustainable and cost-effective option available. At Green by the Bay, I’m excited to introduce you to the benefits of cloth nappies, which offer a simple and rewarding alternative.
**Cost Effective**
With disposable nappies, nappy sacks, and baby wipes, you might spend upwards of £10 per week during the first 2.5 years—adding up to around £1,300 by the time your baby is potty trained. Opting for high-quality washable nappies can save you money, often costing under £500 for the same period.
**Eco Friendly**
In the UK, we dispose of 500,000 tonnes of nappies each year, which end up in landfill sites. When landfills reach capacity, it leads to more large-scale incineration, which is not ideal for your local environment.
**User Friendly**
Modern cloth nappies with velcro or popper fastenings make nappy changing quick and effortless. Plus, simple washing routines make caring for your nappies easy and manageable.
**Gentle on Skin**
By choosing natural, breathable fabrics like organic cotton and bamboo, you’ll be protecting your baby’s delicate skin, which is much thinner than an adult’s.
**Stylish Choices**
My washable nappies come in a vibrant range of colours and designs, from bold block colours to collectible prints, allowing you to find something that fits your style.
