A library of things

A traditional library lends books, but here at Green by the Bay I lend a variety of different items. Cloth nappies, slings, baby carriers, party kits, decorations and tablewares are all available for hire. The library goes beyond just loaning out items, I also offer help and advice, ensuring all slings and cloth nappies hired are used safely and effectively.

The aim of my library is to assist families in saving money and minimising waste by providing affordable rentals of useful items. Short term and long term loans are available, as well as membership options. Allowing you to try before you buy, or as an alternative to owning items.

Green by the Bay also provides valuable support and guidance from an experienced parent. I understand the importance of coffee and empathy.

Green by the Bay

Hello my name is Sarah, I founded Green by the Bay in 2022, shortly after welcoming my fifth child. With 17 years of experience using cloth nappies on all of my children, I’ve developed a great understanding and appreciation for their eco-friendly benefits. My goal was to share this knowledge with others, helping them start their own cloth journey. I also spent four years volunteering as a nappy librarian, helping others learn about and use cloth nappies effectively.

As a parent, I’ve loved carrying each of my children, from tiny newborns to active preschoolers. In 2017, I became a trained Babywearing Peer Support, offering guidance and encouragement to fellow parents. More recently, I have returned to my studies to train as a Babywearing Consultant with the renowned School of Babywearing, with the aim to further enhances my ability to support and empower others.

Green by the Bay is built around my family and my commitment to a greener lifestyle. As a mother, I aim to spend as much quality time with my children as possible while also working to reduce our environmental impact for their future.

New to babywearing? Book a one to one appointment to choose the right carrier. I’ll walk you through everything you need to know in order to use the carrier safely and comfortably for both you and your child.

**Have Your Own Carrier?**
Get a Sling Fit! If you already own a baby carrier but need help with fit or usage, I offer a "Sling Fit" service. I will provide you with expert help to adjust and wear your carrier correctly to ensure it's both comfortable and safe.

**Ongoing Support**
During your rental period, if you have any questions or need help, I am here to support and assist you.

**Easy Returns**
When your rental period is over, just return the items or renew to extend your rental I handle all the cleaning and maintenance!
